Michael Thayne Burnett's Obituary
Michael Thayne Burnett, 77, of Brooksville, FL passed away March 17, 2022. Born in Carthage, Mo. Michael grew up and joined the U. S. Coast Guard where he learned to fly helicopters. He Honorably served for greater than 20 years, Searching for many lost but saving countless lives. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Michael continued to fly helicopters as a construction pilot for several private companies, eventually becoming a consultant. But flying was his passion and Loved being in the air! He enjoyed the simple things in life too. Like walking the nature trails with his “Good Boy”, Baxter. His other interests included collecting fine art and antiques. He was quite particular and passionate about the paintings he selected……Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael. Survivors include his wife, Bryn; son, Charlie; 3 daughters, Eleri, Sarah, and Charlyne; 3 sisters, Cathy, Merry and Susan; and 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be at Grace Memorial Funeral Home Saturday April, 30th at 3:00 PM.
