Marion Marangiello's Obituary
Marion Marangiello, 85, of Hudson, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013. A native of Astoria, New York, she was born May 1, 1928 to Joseph and Kathleen Kilfeather, who were Irish immigrants that entered the country through Ellis Island in the early 1900's. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hudson. She also volunteered locally at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center and at an eye clinic. Additionally, she was an artistic person know for her painting, ceramics, crafts, and decorating. Marion met her soul mate, the love of her life, Vincent, during WWII and married shortly after. With this adoring love they brought into this world their 3 sons and 1 daughter. In 1966 Marion tragically lost her one and only love. Down a long lonely road Marion proudly and tirelessly raised their four children. After 47 years Marion has reunited with her love having their "Dance Together" in heaven.Marion was a loving, devoted mother, sister, Grandma (Gigi) and a very dear loyal friend who will be missed by every life she touched. Marion is survived by her three sons, daughter and their spouses: Michael Marangiello (Beth and Jeannie), Robert Marangiello (Rita), Patrick Marangiello (Michele), Donna Marangiello-Chapman (Rick), brothers: John and Thomas Kilfeather; sisters: Peggy Jarzabkowski and Patricia Aspermonte; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., with public visitation prior starting at 5:30 p.m., at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson. Additional services to occur on Long Island, New York. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 between 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. and between 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY, 11758, Phone: 516-541-4000. A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, 3956 Jerusalem Ave., Seaford, NY, 11783. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Saint Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
