Maria S Vazquez's Obituary
Maria S. Vazquez, 70 years old, of Morristown, TN was visiting family and friends when she passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, with her children and loved ones by her side.
Maria was born February 4, 1954, in Guayama, Puerto Rico. The daughter of the later Agapito Vazquez Valentin and Tita Gonzalez Vega. Maria graduated from Nursing Assistance program in 1992 at Adults Academic of Humacao P.R. She was the widow of Sixto Santana in 1977 later Juan Rivera Cora in 1989 and Jose Rivera Ramos in 2020.
Her passions were sewing fashion dressings, painting, drawing, puzzles pictures board games. Also, farming agriculture products and flowers. Her favorite TV shows were Puerto Rico Gana, Puerto Rico News, Animal Kingdom Channel and Mini Love Series.
Maria was a unique person. Very introverted, humble, and sweet. She had a good character, very kind and good hearted. Her favorite place to visit was the mountains of Puerto Rico, its beaches and its rivers.
She is survived by her 7 children, 25 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. First daughter: Margarita Santana Vazquez; granddaughter: Elizabeth A. De Jesus; great grandsons: Joseph De Jesus and Ezekiel De Campus. Granddaughters: Evelyn I. De Jesus and Abigail Santana.
Second daughter: Maria Elena Santana Vazquez. Granddaughter: Marie Deliz Ortiz and Husband Obed Figueroa; great grandchildren: Obed Figueroa Ortiz, Javier Figueroa Ortiz and Mia Figueroa Ortiz. Grandson: Orlando Ortiz Santana. Grandson: Cristian Ivan Ortiz Santana; great grandchildren: Cristopher Ortiz, Cristian Yadier Ortiz and Isabel Ortiz. Granddaughter: Sonia Ivette Ortiz Santana; great grandchild Adrian Emmanuel Ortiz.
First Son: Sixto Santana Vazquez; Grandchildren: Kevin Santana Delgado, Xavier Santana Fonollosa, Keila Santana Fonollosa, Byron Santana Cumba, Ebryan Santana Cumba and Bryana Santana Cumba.
Third Daughter: Teresa Santana Vazquez and husband Fernando Nieves De Jesus; grandson: Nelson M. Pagan Santana, great grand children: Nelson Yampiel Pagan and Dylan A. Pagan; granddaughter: Yerardin I. Pagan Santana, great grandchildren: Armando Y. Vega Pagan and Yeraliz Vega Pagan; granddaughter: Xiomara L. Pagan, great grandchildren: Darieliz Gonzalez Pagan, Mia Ximena Pagan and Juan Andres Pagan; grandson: Carlos A. Pagan.
Second Son; Antonio Santana Vazquez and wife Naomi Santana; grandchildren: Naishaly Colon, Nateisha Santana and Antonio Jeriel Santana.
Third Son: Carlos Juan Rivera Vazquez; grandchildren: Stephanie Rivera, great grandchildren: Alberto Junior and Messiah Royal. Grandson Jerico Lee Rivera.
Fourth Daughter: Julia I. Rivera Vazquez and husband David A. Molina Garcia; grandchildren: Jadian A. Molina Rivera, Jadxed J. Molina Rivera and Jadelianys I. Molina Rivera.
Visitation will be Friday July 19th from 1pm to 7pm at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson, FL.
Funeral services will be 9:00am to 1:00pm Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Grace Memorial Gardens.
