Maria A Krupnik's Obituary
Maria Rojo Krupnik, age 87, of Spring Hill, Florida died on 10/31/13 after a long illness. Maria was born on May 1, 1926 in Naples, Italy. She married Stanley Krupnik on 09/24/45 while he was stationed in the U.S. Army in Italy. They moved to Stamford, Connecticut after Stanley was discharged from the Army. They raised four children and together they owned and operated Riverside Seat Covers in Greenwich, Connecticut for 30 years. They moved to Florida in 1973 and purchased the Star Motel in Hudson, Florida which they owned and operated for 25 years. After selling the motel in 1998, they retired to Spring Hill. Maria volunteered at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, enjoyed bowling, dancing, music, walking, playing bridge and many other types of card games. She loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Krupnik of 58 years; parents Francesco Rojo and Marianna Rojo; brothers Frank Rojo, Armando Rojo, Renato Rojo and brother–in–law Mario John Olmino. She is survived by her son Stanley Krupnik (Patti) Stamford, CT; daughters Ann Marie Orlando (Raymond) Mt. Juliet, TN; Arleen Bankuty Greenwich, CT; Gail Gagliardi (William) Spring Hill, FL; brother Gaetano Rojo (Elena) Spring Hill, FL; sister Adele Olmino Davie, FL; granddaughters Gina Stewart (Paul), Angela Kellberg (John), Christina Bankuty (Jimmy) Nichola Bankuty-Figueroa (Victor), and Melissa Bozman (Joe); great grandchildren Shawn Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Stephen Kellberg, Alex Kellberg, Briane Slone, Layla Redente, Joseph Bozman, Maria Bozman, Matthew Bozman, Dorianna Figueroa and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson, Florida on Monday, 11/04/13 from 11:00 a.m.to 12:30 p.m., with a service immediately following at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to HPH Hospice.
