Maria Kriston's Obituary
Maria Kriston, 78, of Hudson, FL passed away September 8, 2016 while under the care of HPH Hospice. A native of Palermo, Sicily born to Salvatore and Nunzia (Anzaloni) Affronte, she came to New York when she was 14. Maria was a Catholic and worked as a seamstress in the garment district in New York. In 1982 she moved to Hudson, FL with her family, and in 1987 became a Certified Nursing Assistant till she retired. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2005. Survivors include her son, George P. Kriston and wife Teresa of New Port Richey, FL; daughter, Elisa Capi of Baltimore, MD; 3 sisters, Anna Grillo of Melville, NY, Frances Febo of Punta Gorda, FL and Nancy Edelstein of Boca Raton, FL; 2 grandchildren Selena and Vanessa. Catholic Funeral Services will be held Friday 10:00 am at Grace Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery at 12:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm, with a wake service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice http://www.hph-hospice.org/donations-special-gifts in memory of Maria.
