Margaret D'Oliveira's Obituary
Margaret D’Oliveira 93 of Spring Hill passed away August 27, 2018 after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her parents, Adelaide Rodrigues Cartaxo and Jose Borges Cartaxo, her brothers Joseph Cartaxo and Joaquin “Jackie” Cartaxo and son Frederick D’Oliviera. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Frederick M. D’Oliveira, her daughters Susanne Sawyer (Ed) of Spring Hill and Denise Marques (Jason) of Spring Hill, her grandchildren Michael Sawyer, Jenna Marques Reilly and Aaron Marques and great-grandchildren, Luke, Dylan and Ellie. She also leaves behind her sisters, Pauline Oliveira of Clearwater and Rose Cartaxo of New Jersey along with many nieces and nephews.
Born in Newark, NJ, she worked for many years as a seamstress on ladies’ suits and coats. After retiring in 1983 she and her husband moved to Florida and settled in Hudson, Fl. She and her husband recently moved to Spring Hill to be closer to their daughters. She was one of the founding members of the Portuguese American Cultural Association in New Port Richey. She took up golf for a short time and enjoyed bowling, cruising and her family.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 31st, 2018 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 U.S. Hwy. 19 North, Hudson, FL, 34667, 727-863-5471 from 11:00am 12:30pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 31st at 1:00PM at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, Fl. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, Fl.
