Lynda Frances Carbone's Obituary
Lynda Frances (nee Costanzo) Carbone was born December 23, 1954 in Camden, NJ to Joseph and Pearl (nee Short) Costanzo, the youngest of their four children.
Lynda spent her childhood in South Jersey; during high school she cultivated some entrepreneurial ideas while being involved with DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) for students interested in business. She had a flair for decorating and whipped up displays for several Linens 'n Things locations. When they lived in Berlin, she and Carmen created whimsical wooden Christmas ornaments they sold at craft shows.
One chaotic Christmas they hastily made room for five foster children in their Oaklyn home; very soon thereafter they formally welcomed Cameron Michael as their own, followed by Andrew Thomas a couple of years later. She loved working with Carmen and their sons at Good Home Cookin' Catering out of Pine Valley Gun Club's kitchen. She also loved having a dog in the house; Sweetie was never far from her side.
Friends and family say Lynda was the kindest, sweetest person they’ve ever known; her generous heart knew no bounds. She was extremely good at organizing, creating order in pantry, closets and storage. She also had a knack for decorating, making any room feel comfy and inviting.
Most important of all, Lynda’s superpower was the ability to listen deeply. A conversation with her could turn confusion into understanding or fear into confidence. It was a happy day when cell phones with unlimited long distance replaced landline phones!
She faithfully ended phone conversations with “God bless” or “Angels on your bumpers.”
She and her husband Carmen arrived in Port Richey, FL on her birthday in 2018 and their Florida Adventure began.
She is survived by her soulmate and husband of 31 years Carmen S. Carbone, cherished sons Cameron Michael of Port Richey, FL, Andrew Thomas of Conway, SC, granddaughter Destiny of Conway, SC, sisters Maryjo Morgan (Frederick Richart) of Loveland, CO, and Patricia (Michael) Franks of Cherry Hill, NJ and brother Carmine (Joannie) Troncone Jr. of Wilmington, DE.
Nieces include Laura (Jozef) Soltis, Susan (Greg) Gambescia and Lisa (Michael) Hughey; nephews are John Costanzo, Carmine Troncone III, Mathew (Tracy) Troncone, Luke (Jane) Troncone and Michael Troncone, numerous cousins of the Costanzo, Short, Fanelle, Benedetto, Giordano, Troncone and Cettie families, longtime friends Maria Ostrowski, Eleanor and Mark Dill and Patty and Dan Zulker.
In her heavenly home Lynda joined her parents and step-mother Carrie (Cettie-Troncone) Costanzo, brother Lawrence “Larry” Costanzo, his wife Linda and sister Carol Ann Costanzo.
Although no services are currently planned, donations may be made in Lynda’s memory to DemenitaSociety.org
