Linda Gail Preston's Obituary
Linda Gail Preston of Weeki Wachee, Fl., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. She was 72.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., on May 21, 1951, Linda was the daughter of the late James and Alma (Rackley) Strickland.
She was a retired bank branch manager and a Christian by faith.
Linda served within and led a variety of ministries at Christian Church in the Wildwood where she was a member. She was part of the pastoral ministry team, helped lead Bible studies, a couples' discipleship group, and was active on the church prayer team.
She is survived by her loving husband, William C. "Chuck" Preston, III; one son, Scott Foxworth; three daughters, Stephanie Stonebridge, Shannon Preston, and Tara Williams; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is planned at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Christian Church in the Wildwood, 10051 Country Road, Weeki Wachee, Fl. Joe Caputo, pastoral minister, will officiate.
The family requests that donations be made to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Christian Church in the Wildwood.
A private gathering will take place at a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fl.
