Linda M Mierisch's Obituary
Linda Marie Mierisch 71 of Hudson Florida passed away, August 6th 2020 at 10:30. She was born to the late Vito "Willie" and Josephine Mercadante on August 28th 1948 in Yonkers N.Y.
She married Donald Mierisch in 1969, Linda was an executive administrator at AIG in Manhattan and was a survivor of 9/11. Donald and Linda retired to Florida 8 years ago.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Donald Mierisch, her brother and sister in law Robert and Antonia Mercadante, her son Luke Mierisch, son and daughter in law Joshua and Nicole Mierisch, and daughter and son in law Gabrielle and John Frederick. Linda is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Liam, David, and Cora.
Linda or "Left" as she was known was an award winning bunka artist, who really enjoyed creating the japanese needlecraft paintings. She also loved playing majhong with her various groups of ladies over the years. And most importantly was that Linda was an accomplished home chef who loved to cook for and feed her family and friends, with a life time of memories and conversations made around her dining room table. She enjoyed a good scotch, loved elephants, and absolutely adored her pup Sherlock.
In lieu of flowers Linda asked that dontations be made to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Call 718 987 1931 to donate in Linda's name.
A gathering will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm followed by a celebration of life beginning at 2 pm on Saturday, August 22nd at Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
