Linda Ann Malkowski's Obituary
Linda Ann Malkowski, age 76, passed away on June 11, 2026, at Elevated Estates Forest Oaks in Spring Hill, Florida.
Born on July 7, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, Linda was the daughter of the late Edward Kalish and Betty Kalish.
Linda worked for approximately 10 years as a bagger at Publix in Spring Hill, where she was known for her friendly smile and kind nature. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and was an active member of a bowling league in Hudson.
A devoted member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, Linda faithfully attended Sunday services, often accompanying her mother until her passing. Her faith remained an important part of her life.
Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She had a love for scary movies—especially any film featuring Jason or Freddy Krueger, Friday the 13th, and Cujo—and was an avid reader of Stephen King novels. Her favorite television show was Leave It to Beaver, and she spent many happy moments watching it. She also enjoyed playing the organ from time to time. Linda also loved listening to music, with her favorite artist being Engelbert Humperdinck.
She found joy in playing cards, especially poker and rummy, and treasured time spent with family and friends.
Linda is survived by her loving daughter, Kim M. Bales (David); her three grandchildren, Kaitlyn M. Herzman, Melody N. Herzman, and Logan R. Lopez; her brother, David Kalish (Diane); and her sister, Nancy Fries (Martin).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kevin M. Malkowski.
Linda will be remembered as a kind, caring, and gentle person who lived a good and meaningful life. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family and close friends.
