LeRoy A Gesner Sr.'s Obituary
LeRoy A. Gesner Sr., 81, of Port Richey, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 at his residence in Port Richey. He was born in Staten Island, New York on April 22nd, 1930 and arrived in the area in 1997 coming from Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey. He was a Machinist Foreman in the heat treating industry and a Catholic by faith. LeRoy was a member of St. James Catholic Church. LeRoy was predeceased by two of his children, daughter, Peggy M. Falco and son, Thomas F. Gesner, Sr. He was also predeceased by his parents, Roy and Sophie Hovic Gesner, a brother, William E. Gesner, sisters, Dorothy Bungay, Pearl Doody and Gloria Gray. He was a loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Margaret M. Gesner, and a loving father to his children; sons, LeRoy A. Gesner Jr. and William E. Gesner, daughter, Christine A. Vanker, grandchildren Thomas Gesner, Jr., Lorie Marchiano, Cheryl Falco, Melissa Hafez, William Gesner, Jr., Nicholas and Lauren Vanker and 10 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include: sisters, Vivian Tortora and Jeanne Gesner. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, September 11th, 2011, between the hours of 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a wake service at 7:00 pm at Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, Hudson, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, September 12th, 2011, 10:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church, Port Richey, Florida. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson.
