Able, Kurt S.'s Obituary
Kurt S. Able, age 69, died on March 18, 2025 at Advent Hospital in Wesley Chapel. He is the husband of Katheen M. Able. They shared 48 years of marriage together.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of Rathert Able and Mary Lawless. He graduated from National University with a degree in computer science.
Kurt served 20 years in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Sergeant First Class. A Vietnam and Gulf War veteran, he served as a combat medic; he retired as an assistant hospital administrator.
He enjoyed dungeons & dragons, playing cards and loved his dogs, especially Beagles. Most of all, he lived his life for his country, his family, and his friends.
He will be remembered for his mentorship, selflessness, and service to others.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children, Kurt M. (Jessica) and Kristina; his grandchildren: Christian, Caleb, and Isabella; his brothers: Stanley, Mark, and Daniel; his nephew, Brian; his niece, Kelly; his great nieces: Sammy, Alexandra, and Briana; and his great nephew, Matthew.
