Kathleen M. Vines' Obituary
Kathleen Vines (Gutierrez), 64, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was a Christian by faith. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will forever be missed by all who knew her and will always remain in our hearts and prayers. We thank God that He allowed our family a few days to tell her that we Love her before she passed.
She was 1 of 5 children born to Catherine and Raymond Gutierrez on June 19, 1956 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her parents relocated to Brentwood, N.Y. during her teens where she spent most of her life.
Kathleen worked as a Mental Health Therapy Aide for 33 years before retiring from Pilgrim Psychiatric center in Brentwood, N.Y. in 2010. She also met the love of her life, Donnie, at Pilgrim, where he also retired from. Kathleen and Donnie decided to move to Florida where they could enjoy the warm weather and be close to her family.
Family was so important in her life and she was always the balance that brought everyone together. Kathleen had a special purpose in our lives in that she always thought about everyone else before herself. She was the definition of a selfless person. Her strength and energy helped her to raise two boys and she helped with her grandchildren as well. She is truly irreplaceable.
She had a unique gift because she is the only person, I know that could make everyone in her life know they where so loved by her. She was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nephews and nieces, her animals, and more importantly to God. She told me she prayed every night, but mostly she prayed for everyone else.
Her passions included not missing any holidays or birthdays, watching scary movies with her sisters, playing bunco with all her friends, and working on her crafts. She was always so happy in the times she had with all those who came into her life. We cannot leave out her amazing love for animals.
Kathleen has now joined her mother, who recently passed early last year, as well and her favorite dog Buddy in 2010. Together they can watch over our family and guide us going forward to remain strong and continue to grow together.
She is survived by her loving husband Donnie, their two dogs Yukie and Snoopy, her two wonderful sons, Felix, his spouse Joanna and her son Paulie, her adored grandchildren Alex, Desire, and Justice, her sweet step daughter Lenae, her precious step grandchildren Ceasia, Vanessa, Alana and Robin, and her loving siblings Ramona, Pamela, Patricia, and Raymond and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12PM on Monday September 21st, 2020 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 U.S. Hwy. 19 North, Hudson, FL, 34667, (727)863-5471.
