June Helena Sweeney's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Helena Sweeney (90) on Monday, July 24, 2023. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
June was born June 1, 1933 in Boston, Massachusetts to Helena and John Thompson. June served in the United States Air Force with distinction for three years during the Korean War before marrying Everett Edward Sweeney (Ed) on October 13, 1956. They had four daughters and were married for over thirty-two years before Ed passed away in 1989. June and Ed raised their family in Nashua, New Hampshire, where June worked for many years at Howard Johnson’s and had a large group of friends and loyal customers.
June enjoyed living in Florida and spending time with her family, traveling, and playing cards with her friends at the Royal Palms in Largo.
June is survived by 3 daughters; Linda Levy (Steven), Cheryl Sweeney, Laura McKay (Gordon); 3 grandchildren (Brian, Lauren (Matthew), and Laina); and one great granddaughter (Regan). She is pre-deceased by her youngest daughter Valerie.
June will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
