Judith F Augustine's Obituary
Judie Augustine, 82, of Spring Hill, Florida died Monday, May 19, 2025, in the care of Oak Hill Health and Rehab in Brooksville, Florida. Born in Sea Cliff and raised in Glen Cove, New York, to the late Bessie and George Furst Jr., she chose a life of helping children, first as an elementary school teacher and later as the children’s librarian at the Starr Library in Rhinebeck, New York. Judie and Roger retired to Spring Hill in 2002. Her love for cats could not be overshadowed by her passion for quilting.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Augustine; sons, Brian Augustine (Kristin) of Greenville, South Carolina and Bob Augustine (Elizabeth) of Ventura, California; and granddaughters, Rachel Kudzin (Gregory) of Chapel Hill, NC, Rebekah Augustine of High Point, NC, Ruth Augustine of Greenville, SC, and Annabelle Augustine of Ventura, CA.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Memorial Gardens. Details for a formal memorial service will be released at a later date.
