Joyce E Jarvis' Obituary
Joyce Elsie Dietrich was born to Wilbur and Gertrude (nee Peters) Dietrich on April 7, 1940. She was reborn in the waters of baptism later that same month. She confirmed God’s faithfulness promised to her at her baptism, and the baptismal vows that were made on her behalf at her baptism, she made her own on April 14, 1957, thus preparing her for this last March 18. Shortly after, she met Bob Jarvis and the two were joined together in holy wedlock on June 26, 1958. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Connie, Rob and Chris. When the kids were out of the house, Joyce took a job with the airlines and discovered her passion–traveling. She and Bob traveled all over the world, bringing the family with them on several of their excursions, especially the grandchildren. Toward their retirement years they moved down to FL. In her last 4.5 months Joyce struggled to keep her health as she went back and forth between the hospital and rehab centers. She finally succumbed to death on Mar 18, 2024 and went to the waiting arms of Jesus. She is survived by Bob Jarvis of Tampa FL, soon to be St. Louis MO; Connie (Dave) Boyd of Springfield IL, Rob (Joanne) Jarvis of Nederland CO, and Chris (Krisitine) Jarvis of St. Louis MO. Also grandchildren, Andrew, Michaela, Kimberly, Sam and Christine. Her funeral will be at Northdale Lutheran Church in Tampa FL where her family and friends will celebrate Jesus’ victory over death and the promise of her own resurrection. Her body will be interred at Memorial Gardens in Hudson waiting for that resurrection with Jesus’ final return and the time when her body and soul will be reunited again for eternity in eternity (I Cor 15, I Thes 4).. A visitation, and funeral service will be held at Northdale Lutheran Church, 15709 Mapledale Dr. Tampa, Florida 33624 on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10am-12pm, followed by entombment at Grace Memorial Gardens, 16931 US Highway 19 North, Hudson, Florida 34667.
