We did it. We created the most amazing, kind, genuine, salt of the earth human. Xavier Calder.
There will never be another him.
And he was created from you. Therefore, I know you made it to heaven.
While some may focus on the last 13 years of your life. I choose to focus much further back. The years of you and Dax. The years of being a young father with two broken arms and a girlfriend about to give birth. I choose to see you in that lense. Not because I'm a selfish grieving "baby momma", but because that is when I truly think your heart was the purest.
Josh, you did it. You were an amazing dad. You taught our son the love of fishing and the hatred of catfish. You taught him how to tie his shoes and how to always smell good- aqua de qio, we know. You showed him how to love and be kind. You did so much in such a short amount of time.
So, this is it.
