Jose Carlos Da Silva's Obituary
Jose Carlos Da Silva, 76, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Rosa Da Silva, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in the Azores, Portugal on July 20, 1948, Jose was the beloved son of the late Adelino Melo and Estrela Melo (née Morais). A hardworking and passionate landscaper, Jose owned and operated J & R Landscaping for 25 years, leaving a lasting mark on the community through his dedication and craftsmanship.
Jose was a man of adventure and joy. He loved dining out and discovering new restaurants, traveling on spontaneous trips with his family, and spending time outdoors—whether walking, running, or working in the yard. He had a deep love for driving and cherished every moment spent with his family. Known for his humor and lighthearted spirit, Jose brought laughter wherever he went and was rarely seen without a smile or a joke.
He will be remembered as a kind-hearted, family-oriented man who lived life to the fullest and embraced every adventure with open arms.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Da Silva; his daughter, Erica Almeida and her husband, Joe Almeida; and his cherished granddaughters, Kaleigh Almeida and Kelcey Almeida. He is also survived by his sisters: Filomena Tripp and her husband, James Tripp, Valdmira Costa, and Tina Melo and her husband, Mario Melo; his brothers, Jorge Melo and his wife, Maria Melo and Joao Silva and his wife, Maria D. Silva; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Adelino Melo Jr.; and his sister, Eduarda Motta.
