John B. Welsh, 60, of Hudson, Florida passed away on Wednesday June 22, 2022 in Lecanto, Florida. John had been under the care of Hospice following a long battle with early on-set dementia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson, Florida.
Born in North Tarrytown, New York July 3, 1961 the son of the Beverly Dykstra Centofanti and the late John Welsh.
John was a self-employed painter for many years. He had many hobbies and interest, from boating, shooting, vehicle restoration, spending time with family and friends, and most especially he loved motorcycles. Starting to ride at 18, motorcycles became a life-long passion from riding with friends to restoring bikes of various styles and types. John loved spending time with his nephews, taking them boating, camping, fishing, paint-ball adventures, motorcycle races, shooting ranges and teaching them all a love for adventure, speed and fireworks. John was also kind to strangers, helping those less fortunate, loved animals, and had some unique pets over the years from Sammy the Macaw, to Boss a hybrid wolf, to the stray cat he rescued while working.
John is survived by his mother Beverly, sister Tara and brother David, nephews Travis, his wife Nocona and their children Layla and Breton, Trevor and his wife Shannon, and their children Jayden, Kendall, Rilynn, and nephew Shawn. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends, gone, but never forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson.
