.John B. Picard of Spring Hill, FL & formerly of RI and MA passed away on March 28, 2011 in Brooksville, Fl. He is survived by his loving wife Rita (Desrocher) Picard of 62 years. Born on January 15, 1925 in West Warwick, RI, the son of the late John B. Picard Sr. and Cevelina (Demers) Picard, Richard. He was a World War II Veteran, attached to the Navel Air Force, who served in the South America Territory as a radioman 2/c. A 1949 graduate of Bryant University in RI, former banker, owner administrator of Tower Hill Rest Home in Fitchburg, MA, until retiring in 1985 to Florida. Mr. Picard was an original organizer of the Coventry Lodge of Elks, treasurer of the Harris Fire Dept. and the director of Shady Acres Rest Home in Exeter, RI. Besides his wife, he leaves his only daughter Janice Reynolds-Krnjaich & son-in-law Michael of FL, one grand-daughter, Jaime Poirier, husband Chris and two great grandchildren of Cranston, RI. The arrangements will be handled by Grace Funeral Home in Hudson, FL
