John Anthony Gambino Sr.'s Obituary
John Anthony Gambino, Sr. 79, of New Port Richey passed away September 11, 2015. A native of Brooklyn, NY born to Michele and Grazia (Martino) Gambino, he came to the area in 1994 from Levittown, NY. John served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 till 1957 in the 10th Armored Division / Company B. He later retired as a Vice President for Chemical Bank in Great Neck, Long Island, NY. His memberships included the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus council # 5869. After Retirement John enjoyed several hobbies including bowling, dancing, his love of boating and international Morse code. He also enjoyed celebrating his Catholic Faith at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie whom he married in 1958; son, John A. Gambino, Jr. and wife Lucy of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Theresa Gambino-Hind and husband Tom of Wellington, Fl.; sister, Anne Fucci of Palm Harbor, Fl.; 6 grandchildren, Scott and wife Kedrin, Adam and Fiancée Gina, Evan, Elizabeth, Christina and Matthew; 2 great-grandchildren, Nicki and Mitchell. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 8014 State Road 52, Hudson, FL 34667 Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:00 am. Committal Service to follow at Grace Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The Family will receive friends at Grace Memorial Funeral Home Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 pm.
