My mother and I was getting ready to go to the Weeki Wachee Waterpark. I hurried out of the shower wirh excitement and into my room without drying the bathroom floor. My mother walked into the bathroom and slipped and she landed on the back of her head and split it open. It was a bit gory. She cried but after a couple minutes, she said let's get you to the park. She drove me to the park and drove herself to the ER. She came back to the park about 2-3 hours later with the back of her head stitched up. She was more concerned about me missing a fun day at the park than her own head injury. That's the power of a mother's love. Something that my family and I deeply miss. She loved being with family and just laughing and having a good time. I can still hear her laughing in my head. She is deeply loved and missed so much that words cannot describe. I posted this memory because it shows her strength and character and when I think about what a terrible day it could have been, it brings tears of happiness when I think about her love.
