Jin Kwang Chang's Obituary
Jin Kwang Chang, 79, passed away on October 3rd, 2025 in Hudson, FL. He was the husband of Seong Ja Chang, and together they were married for 47 years.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, he was the middle son of Jae Woo Chang and Boak Sum Park. He graduated from Seoul National University (’73) and continued his studies at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa to receive his Masters of Divinity (’76).
He was a Pastor in Madison, Wisconsin where he nurtured an-ever changing and dynamic college-based community at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Madison and later relocated to Florida, where he pastored the Pasco Korean Presbyterian Church. He also enjoyed providing weekly mentoring and teaching to other Korean pastors in the greater Tampa area for the last 15 years.
He will be remembered for his passion for the Word, and desire to teach and share with others his knowledge. He enjoyed being active and being in nature.
Jin is survived by his wife, Seong; daughter, Young; son, Justin; and grandchildren, Aiden and Micah. He is also survived by his brother Jin Yang Chang. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Jin Chung Chang,
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church/Pasco Korean Church, 9525 Hudson Avenue, Hudson, Florida 34667. The visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Services are in the care of Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
