Janice Margaret Leever's Obituary
Janice Margaret Leever, lovingly known as Jan, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on September 30, 1958, in Ferndale, Michigan, to Leonard and Beatrice (Williams) LaBelle. In the early 1970s, Jan moved with her family to Florida, where she would build a life filled with love, dedication, and deep connections.
Jan met the love of her life, Jimmy, and the two were married in 1981, beginning a partnership rooted in devotion and family. A dedicated professional, Jan enjoyed a successful banking career spanning more than 30 years. She took great pride in her work and was truly gifted at it, earning the admiration and trust of both colleagues and customers, many of whom adored her.
Above all else, Jan was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her world, and she was theirs. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting the needs of her loved ones first, and her presence was a constant source of strength, comfort, and love.
Jan is survived by her son, James A. Leever II of Lakeland, Florida; her daughter, Shaye M. Leever of Tampa, Florida; her brother, Leonard “Skip” LaBelle Jr. of Inverness, Florida; her sister, Deborah Cavanaugh of Spring Hill, Florida; and her four cherished grandchildren, Scout Leever, Sebastian Bush, Major Bush, and Ever Leever.
Janice Margaret Leever will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong work ethic, her kindness, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply.
