Wallace, Jamie Lynn's Obituary
Jamie Lynn Wallace, 79, of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2025.
Born on August 19, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, Jamie was the beloved daughter of the late James Clarence Wallace and Helen Louise Wallace (née Smith).
Throughout her career, Jamie worked as an executive secretary for several law firms, earning respect for her professionalism and dedication. Adventurous by nature, she once embraced a unique opportunity as a seismograph operator in Wyoming—a testament to her love of new challenges and experiences.
Jamie’s life was rich with passions and accomplishments. As a young girl, she adored her Tennessee Walker horse and cherished the memories of riding through open fields. Later, she delighted in attending Broadway shows when they toured Seattle, sharing the magic of music, singing, and pageantry with friends and coworkers.
Jamie was a trailblazer. As a single mother, she built a successful career in major accounting, legal, and construction firms throughout the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s. Though her college education was interrupted by motherhood, she never gave up on her dream—proudly earning her bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Indiana Purdue University.
Her heart was as remarkable as her achievements. There was no offense Jamie would not eagerly and completely forgive. She will be remembered for her kindness, caring spirit, and the joy she brought to those who knew her.
Jamie is survived by her two sons, Bradley J. Sousa (Noi) and Gregory Sousa; her four siblings: Daniel Wallace, Beverly Anderson, John Wallace, and Susan Wallace; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, Hudson, Florida. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the time of service, followed by burial.
