James M. Dorson's Obituary
Family & friends are invited to attend the service for James M. Dorson, Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 2pm at Full Gospel Assembly 17945 Shady Hills Rd, Spring Hill FL, 34654. James left this physical world and went to live with the Lord on August 29, 2019, at 58 yrs old. He was born October 31, 1960, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Ray H. Dorson and the late, Barbara (Reese) Day. James grew up in Pennsylvania, as an adult he relocated to Florida, where he met his loving wife Donna J. White. James was most recently employed in the health field as a CNA. He loved life and he loved people. He made new friends everywhere he went. He truly was a very extraordinary and passionate man. He was most passionate about his music and his martial arts. He had great talent and was self taught on piano, drums, guitar and vocals. He held much respect in the MMA (mixed martial arts) world. Known as Professor James, he was one of the 1st black belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the United States. He loved sharing this passion, teaching and impacting others of all ages. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Daniel C. Dorson and wife Lisa of Duncannon PA, his brother N. Paul Dorson of Elizabethtown PA, his brother David A. Dorson and wife Dawnof Harrisburg PA and his sister Dianne Dorson-Alther and husband Terry of Elizabethtown PA. Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, his MMA Family and many friends. Although James is at peace with his Lord, we will miss him very much. His presence on earth left memorable imprints on all of those whose lives he touched.
