Jacqueline "Jackie" Gagne's Obituary
Our dear beloved mother Jacqueline “Jackie” H. Gagne (Clarke) of Port Richey, FL passed away on March 23, 2026 in Hudson, FL where she had been receiving rehabilitation care following a stroke that occurred in January 2026.
Jackie was the widow of Lorenzo Gagne to whom she was married to for 34 years, residing together in Port Richey, FL.
She was born August 18, 1932 in New Bedford, MA. The family moved around frequently and eventually settled in NH, in 1940. They made their next home in West Rumney, NH and then Wilmot, NH in 1946 where Jackie grew up as a teenager and graduated from Andover, NH High School in 1951.
Throughout her working life, Jackie held several positions and was known for her strong work ethic. She retired from H.P. Hood/Coca‑Cola, where she advanced to team lead, overseeing the orange juice assembly line through to the warehouse.
She was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church of Hudson.
Jackie will be remembered for her vibrant smile, zest for life, and giving heart. She loved spending time in her garden as well as bird watching in NH and FL.
She’s now gardening in heaven with her sisters that predeceased her: Madeline Frances Dukette (Clarke), Florence Virginia Gove (Clarke), Kathleen Pearl O’Shea (Clarke), and Edith May Clarke. She is also predeceased by her parents, Edith May White (Clarke) and Raymond E. Clarke; brother, Raymond “Sonny” E. Clarke Jr; her stepson, Michael Gagne; and her first husband, Daniel Joseph O’Shea who she married in July of 1954. They made their home with their three children, Michael Joseph O’Shea, Cynthia Ann O’Shea, and Mark William O’Shea before moving to Tarpon Springs, FL in 1972 and settling in Dunedin, FL in 1973 where all of her children graduated from high school.
She is survived by her three children; one grandchild, Christian Pierce O’Shea; one step-daughter, Virgie Gagne; two step-grandchildren, David Gagne and Kailani Gagne; one great-step-grandchild, David Gagne; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held graveside on April 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Memorial Gardens, 16931 US Hwy 19 N, Hudson, FL 34667.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Nature Coast Botanical Gardens and Nursery in Spring Hill, FL.
