Irena J. Foerster's Obituary
Irene Foerster passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024 with family and close friend Kay Tyler by her side. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on October 26, 1931. Irene married Ivan J Foerster on August 25, 1951. They lived in Saginaw, Michigan, then in 1978 they built a house in Torch Lake, Michigan. She raised five awesome children: Michael J (Nancy) Foerster, James K Foerster, Debra F (Dave) Strawbridge, Linda F (James) Plomer, and Charles E (Mary) Foerster. Her life also included 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service with Pastor Chuck Foerster on July 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Mortensen's Funeral Home in Central Lake, Michigan. Irene will then be laid to rest beside her husband at Lakeview Cemetery on Torch Lake, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Gulfside Hospice at 2061 Collier Parkway in Land O'Lakes, Florida 34639, or Gulfside.org, or Pasco County Animal Shelter at 19640 Dogpatch Lane, Land O'Lakes, Florida 34638.
