We would like to express Our deepest condolences to the Cardona Family for the loss of our beloved Harry.
Many people don't know that Harry was once a distinguished NYPD Detective assigned to the Community Affairs' Division and a well known radio personality who would give the Hispanic citizens of NYC much crime prevention advice on the radio waves of Radio WADO.
Our daily ritual was listening to this as our Mom would be making us breakfast in the morning to go to school. My brother and I, eventually became NYPD Detectives also and had the pleasure of meeting Harry when our parents moved to Spring Hill in 2000. He was thrilled to hear the story of when we were younger, we listened to his broadcast. Our parents, Benny and Ofe, maintained a close relationship with the Cardona family throughout the years, visiting each others homes and during church activity. When we lost our Mom 2 years ago, Harry was there during our time of grief and for that we will always hold him dear to our hearts. Harry and my Dad, would speak by phone from New York once a week all the way to the very end and he will be greatly missed by Dad.
Our Father who art in heaven, Please greet Harry with loving arms and hugs !
