Mr. Grant David Grates' Obituary
Mr. Grant Grates, 63, of Odessa passed away on November 4, 2021. He was born November 22, 1957 to Elmer and Shirley Grates in Port Huron, Michigan. The things Grant loved most were Jesus, his son, grandkids, family, and the great outdoors. Grant was an avid hunter and fisherman. He often hunted for deer, turkey, and wild hogs on his lease in north Florida. On the weekends he wasn’t hunting he could be found with some of his friends, wading out into the water with a fishing pole in his hands. Grant always took great pride in his work; he was a carpenter who could really do it all. One of his favorite possessions was his Ford pick-up truck, he loved that truck and planned to drive it til the wheels fell off. He is preceded in death by his brothers Gary and Greg, and sister Gina. He is survived by his son Cody and daughter-in-law Kierstan; sisters Gayle and Gwendy; best friend Marty: and grandchildren August and Asher.
