Geraldine D. Sekelsky's Obituary
Geraldine "Gerry" Sekelsky, 69, passed away on February 6, 2026, at Tampa General Hospital Spring Hill.
She was born on March 12, 1956, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Marco Feola and Helen Feola (née Zargos).
Gerry lived a life grounded in family, compassion, and service to others. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. Her passion for caring for others led her to a dedicated career in nursing, and her love for teaching guided her into educating future nurses as a professor at Pasco-Hernando State College. She was admired for her patience, intelligence, and the compassionate spirit she brought to her students and her profession.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Ethan) and Frank (Cindy); her six grandchildren: Juliana (Vincent), Deven, Giovanni, Dennis (Kristen), Dominique, and Frankie; her four great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Vincent Jr., Emma, and Lilly; and her siblings, Terry and Marco.
She was predeceased by her parents, Marco and Helen, and her sister, Mary.
Gerry will be remembered as caring, compassionate, and deeply devoted to her family and her students. Her legacy of love and service lives on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to John Hopkins All Children's Foundation as a dedication to Geraldine Sekelsky aka Gerry Autism Funds.
