Georgiana Munroe's Obituary
“Georgiana Munroe was born on July 30th 1932 in Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Guyana. Born to Selena and David Sergeant, Georgiana was the third of four children. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Lionel Bumbury, her sister Iris McMahorne with Geraldine Pollydore as her sole surviving sister. A loving mother to Marjorie Blackman- Parris, Lawrence Munroe, Vibert Munroe, Gregory Munroe, Desmond Munroe, Minerva Munroe,, Denise Smith, and Verna Munroe. She was the grandmother of 22, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Georgiana migrated from Guyana to the United States in September of 1971, where she was a valued employee of Amtrak Railroad Services for 18 years until retirement. She moved to Florida in 1997, where she spent the remainder of her life.”
