GEORGE F. BENNETT Jr.'s Obituary
George F. Bennett, Jr., 72, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012. He was born in Millville, New Jersey and has lived in Spring Hill for 15 years. George was a long time member of Mariner United Methodist Church in Spring Hill, Florida. After graduating from Pennsylvania Military College, he was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the US Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He later worked as a newspaper reporter, fund raiser and insurance agent. After retiring, he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Oak Hill Hospital and was a member of the Hernando Computer Club, Toastmasters and Tarpon Coast Fly Fishers. George will be dearly missed by his loving friends and family.He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gwendolyn R. Bennett, and son Scott L. Bennett.Memorial services will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd Spring Hill, Florida 34608.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial Funeral Home 16931 US Highway 19 Hudson, Florida 34667. 727-863-5471
