Fredrick Michael “Mike” Murray, 69, of Tampa, FL went to be with the Lord August 27, 2021. A native of Washington, DC, but grew up in Maryland and New Oxford, PA where he graduated High School. Mike served in the US Air Force, for Read Obituary
Mike will be greatly missed. He was a great guy and we enjoyed picking on each other every time we saw each other in the hall. It just won't be the same without him here in D7. We were in the same job field for different branches of the service and always "argued" about which was better, Air Force or Army. I will miss flipping his suspenders whenever his back was turned to me and all of the joking around we did.
Mike will always live in our hearts. He made a difference in the lives of those who were honored to know him. Never a harsh word, always smiling and bringing joy to all. Always loved. Mike is missed dearly and he will always be remembered in fondest regard. Heaven got a great one. Rest in peace my friend.
Mike was a top notch telecommunications expert, a kind and thoughtful friend, and, simply stated, pure entertainment. From his classic suspenders to his one-liner "Mike-isms" , Mike would solve your problem and leave you laughing. I still can't believe he's left us, there is a huge hole in the heart of our FDOT office. Heaven got a good one. You are dearly missed and loved, Mike, and we appreciate all that you've done for us. Mike was a telecommunications genius. HE was so helpful to everyone in the department and was always a reliable source of good information and clever ideas plus some funny clever thoughts while you would be talking with him. I have worked at FDOT for a few years and although Mike and I were not very close friends, I do miss him. Because Mike was such a down to earth and real genuine good person and would help anyone in any way he could, he was a friend to all. There must be some higher calling where you are needed for something very important. Mike I will miss you.
