Frederick Austin Ryder Jr.'s Obituary
Frederick Austin Ryder, Jr. 83, of Spring Hill, Fl. Passed on to the Arms of Jesus on August 28, 2015. A native of Pittsburg, PA. born to Frederick Austin Ryder, Sr. and Mary (Hnat) Ryder in 1931. He spent his early Years in Wilkinsburg, PA. He met and married the love of his life Sarah Brock Ryder, who preceded him in passing in 2011. Frederick served in the U.S. Air Force as a communications specialist using Morse code in the Korean Conflict from 1951 till 1955. Throughout his work career from starting out as the Lead painter for Publix Grocery stores, the later opening his own paint shop, Dyco Painting in North St. Petersburg in the 1970’s. He later moved to The Shady Hills area in the 1980’s and retired from the Pasco County School Board as a Maintenance Engineer after 10 years of service.  After Retirement he joined his beloved wife Sarah on many mission fields of Imbu, Kenya, East Africa, Olmsk, Siberia, Suriname South America,  Caracas and Paramaribo , Venezuela   Trinidad, North Dakota USA Where he continued his many talents of maintenance and painting of Churches, Buildings, Homes and orphanages worldwide.He is survived by his 2 sons, Frederick “Fred” Austin Ryder III of St. Petersburg, FL and Alan “Ed” Ryder of Shady Hills, Fl.; 2 daughters, Karen Ryder of St. Petersburg, Fl. And Linda Ryder Carter of Shady Hills, FL; siblings, Virginia, Lois, Bill, Judy, Joan, Betty and Dan; 4 Grandchildren: Kimberly , Casey, Kelly and Alissa; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hunter, Sagelyn, Sarah and Dexter. Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 5, 2015 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home at Noon. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 AM.
