Frederick M. D'Oliveira's Obituary
Frederick M. D’Oliveira 93 of Spring Hill passed away November 25, 2018. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 71 years, Margaret (August 27, 2018), his son Frederick, brother John and his parents Arminda and Joao D’Oliveira. He is survived by his daughters Susanne Sawyer (Ed) of Spring Hill and Denise Marques (Jason) of Spring Hill, his grandchildren Michael Sawyer, Jenna Marques Reilly, and Aaron Marques, his great grandchildren Luke Marques, Dylan Marques and Ellie Reilly. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Born in Newark NJ, he had a love and appreciation of music and began playing the Violin at an early age. He later went on to play the Saxophone and Clarinet. As a youth he also was a Boy Scout.
He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Pacific with the US Navy “Seabees”
He was a worked as Boiler Room Station Mechanic for Public Service Electric and Gas Company until his retirement in 1980. He moved to Florida in 1983 to “enjoy his retirement”. He took up golf as a hobby, joined a local band and he and Margaret would go bowling often.
Besides his music, he loved being with his family and friends, enjoyed bowling, swimming, family vacations and going on cruises.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, 16931 U.S. Hwy 19 North, Hudson, FL 34667, 727-863-5471 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1:30 PM at St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, FL. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, FL
