Frederick B. “Fred” DeLong, 69, of Spring Hill, FL passed away March 18, 2017. A native of Columbus, Ohio he came to the area in 1991 and retired from IBM in 1995 after 20 years of service. Fred was a member of Shady Hills United Read Obituary
Fred was a true friend whom I will l miss. I will always remember his love of motorcycles and the many rides we enjoyed together along with countless trips to Dunkin Donuts where we enjoyed many discussions of politics, pets and family. His wit, his generosity, his love for Debi and Apollo were boundless. His desire to help others never waivered even through his own illness. He was a good man.

Just found out about the passing of my friend Fred. He and I worked together at IBM in Dearborn MI for many years. Although we had not spoken since he moved to Florida, the memories flooded back to me on receipt of this info. Terri and I send our love and condolences to Debi.

Fred was a terrific friend. He loved to laugh and he saw the best in everyone. He had a huge love for Boxers (dogs) and that is how I met both Fred and Debi. I will never forget what a generous kind hearted man Fred was. Godspeed my friend
