Eva M. Griffin's Obituary
Eva Sue McPherson Griffin was born on March 22, 1948 in Washington DC. She committed her life to Jesus Christ through the ministry of Maryland Youth Temperance Council. Her first job was as a Medical Technologist with the Red Cross in 1968. She met her husband, Harry M Griffin, at the Washington Bible College and they were married October 10, 1975. Together they spent many years working with Prison Ministry and leading youth groups at churches across Maryland and Virginia. Her true passion was mentoring young people and seeing them come to faith in Christ. She received her bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA at the age of 40 and taught high school History, US Government and Psychology in Virginia and Florida for over 15 years. She was Teacher of the Year for Ridgewood high school in Pasco County Florida in 2006. She went home to be with her savior on April 20, 2017. She is survived by her husband Harry, her only son, Jonathan and daughter-in-law Stacey Griffin. She has 2 grandchildren, Javin 9 and Julia 8. Funeral services will be held at Grace Memorial Gardens, 16931 US Highway 19 N in Hudson, FL at 11am April 29, 2017.
