Ernie was very special to me. He was one of those original human beings that make everyone else's life more colorful. I wrote a story about him years ago, because he liked to leave "stuff" on my doorstep. He was a practical joker and I loved working along-side him in the bindery. It was hard work. But that's the kind of work Ernie did all his life. When you stand next to someone, at a machine, for ten hours a day, you share philosophies, pet peeves, family stories, and indigestion. I guess I tickled him because he always kept in touch, even though my busy life kept me from keeping in touch ... back. I am ashamed, and sad, that I didn't. My heart goes out to Jackie and their children. He TRULY will be missed. Deborah Cashon Klein
