"Keep Smiling"-these were the words autographed in his children's book "What is a Where?" from my dear friend, inspiration, and all around great guy who made a huge difference in so many lives! As teaching colleague of Ernie at Doherty High School, I am happy to share that he truly made a difference to his students, his fellow teachers, his students, and everyone in the building! Ernie gave us a lasting gift of his presence which will never leave us, and his wonderful smile, joy in life, and awesome sense of humor which made us laugh. Ernie was so happy being himself, and sometimes being "Mario"! Ernie always cheered up everyone around him and always wanted the best for everyone! Thank you "Chip" for being part of our lives and to continue to inspire us to "keep smiling." Though I didnt know Ernie well, I did work with him at DMHS for a few years. We knew each other enough to say hello & share a story or two...I know he had been looking forward to moving to Florida, with his wife, bc that is an aspiration we shared... So sorry for your loss, hoping you'll take comfort knowing he was a very , nice, kind man...His students adored him also..God bless his family at this difficult time...
Thank you for sharing all the photos and memories, Mr Littizzio always had a smile on his face. I worked with him for years at Doherty and he was always so patient and kind with all the kids- a genuine, devoted and welcoming person. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I remember you when you came in my office every five weeks to ask when the grades are due. One of my favorite teachers I will miss you.
