Erma Berry Sheely's Obituary
Erma J. Berry Sheely born November 23, 1936 in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was a daughter , wife, mother, grandmother and so much more. She was the caretaker of many starting with her father-in-law, uncle and finally her son before graduating high school and becoming a CAN. After retiring and traveling the Untied States with her husband during the summer months, she returned to work as a housekeeper before fully retiring and then it was her turn to be taken care of> After being diagnosed with Dementia in 2007, she fought for almost 10 years. She succumbed to the disease. Erma passed peacefully in the comfort of her home and family by her side on December 9, 2016. She is proceeded by her father (Howard Berry), her mother, (Iva Berry), her sisters, (Violet, Louise, Nancy) her brother (Robert), her daughters (Idamay and Helga) and her son, (James). She is succeeded by her husband of 55 years (Delmar “Jim” Sheely) her daughters (Lorie and Carolyn) and her son (Alven). She has 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was a lifetime member of the Woman’s Auxiliary (VFW) and a member of the Centralia New Life Baptist.
A Memorial Service will be held on December 31, 2016 at 1pm at Centralia New Life Baptist (352) 544-0306.
