Edward Slaman's Obituary
Mr. Edward Slaman, 89, of Spring Hill passed away on December 27, 2022. He was born August 30, 1933 at home in East Chicago, Indiana. Edward was a hard worker, working as a Structural Repairman in Steel Mills, before retiring at 55 years old. Family was important to Edward, he spent his retirement years moving from place to place to be close to his kids.
He was born into a large family. As the youngest child, he was the last connection to the generation before him, as all of his siblings have passed.
Edward is survived by his son Edward Mikel Slaman and his wife Beth; daughter Catherine Withee and her husband John; son Keith Slaman and his wife Amy; daughter Deanna Slaman and her significant other Herbert; daughter Erica Kenyon and her husband Randy; and son Derek Slaman and his wife Darlene.
Edward was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather to many.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Grace Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to A Promised Land Animal Rescue in Tampa, FL or Soldiers for Christ Ministries, Tampa, FL.
