Edward R. "Eddie" McGinty III's Obituary
Edward Robert McGinty III (Eddie) 50, of Hudson Florida, formerly of Bear Delaware, passed away at Tampa General Hospital on March 20, 2017. Eddie was an accomplished self-taught musician who played in many local bands throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area as well as in the Northeast (PA.DE.MD.), prior to moving to Florida in 1992. A true Rock & Roller at heart from the time he could hold a pair of drumsticks, his love of music was only overshadowed by the love for his son. Eddie was a loving Father, Brother, and Son who used his many talents to entertain along with his spontaneous way of making people laugh. His free spirit will never be forgotten by those who knew him. He is survived by his son, Edward Robert McGinty IV of Hudson, FL; parents, Edward R. McGinty, Jr. and Barbara (Drain) McGinty; brother, Steven M. McGinty of Pinellas Park, FL; maternal grandmother, Marie T. Drain; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Eddie’s Life will be held Friday March 31, 2017 6:00 PM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home.
