Edward W. Kuta's Obituary
EDWARD W. KUTA, 87, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Indiana Harbor, Gary, IN, Flossmoor, IL, Bourbonnais, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Edward was born August 20, 1926 in East Chicago, IN to Walter Kuta and Eleanora (Lili) Slupik Kuta, who preceded him in death in addition to his brother Edward, and sisters Charlotte Kuta and Estelle Kuta Budzik.Surviving him are his loving wife of 66 years, Sylvia Kuzman Kuta; son Gary Kuta, daughters Kathryn Kuta and Linda Kuta Gray (Charles); also brother-in-law Daniel Kuzman (Barbara); niece Barbara Budzik; nephew John Budzik (Carole).He was a 1945 graduate of East Chicago Washington High School, attended Indiana University, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Charter Member & President of the Data Processing Management Association of Northwest Indiana, a member of R.O.M.E.O.S, and former member of the Macedonian Social Organization.He founded many businesses: The Village Store in East Hazel Crest, IL; Checkmate Data Processing in Gary, IN; Community Quick Print Center in South Holland, IL; and Cardware Stores in Matteson, IL and Country Club Hills, IL. He was ambitious and a hard worker, often putting in a 10-hour day, 6 days a week. He was very patriotic, was interested in military history, and was a great husband and father who loved his family dearly. He will be missed. Services will be held in Gary, IN at a later date.
