Edward John Drysdale Jr's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of a Faithful Servant
August 16th, 1945 – May 9th, 2026
Edward John Drysdale, Jr., known to many as Ed, was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts and finished his earthly race at Trinity Hospital in Trinity, Florida. From beginning to end, he leaned on the Lord he loved.
“Loved the Lord and his family.” Those simple words capture Ed’s daily walk and set the rhythm of his life of faith.
Ed’s trust in God shaped a spirit that was optimistic, creative, confident, kind, and resilient. His faith guided every step and offered steady hope to all who met him.
The gifts God placed in Ed’s hands included a joy for classic cars, NFL football, fishing, and exploring thrift stores. He received each interest with gratitude and shared the delight of discovery with family and friends.
The Lord blessed Ed with a family he cherished. He is remembered with love by his daughters Shelly and Gabriella, his son Daniel, his son-in-law Dean, his daughter-in-law Laura; his eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; together they enjoyed family holidays and outings.
Those who spent time with Ed saw kindness that reflected the love of Christ. His resilience pointed many back to the steady grace of God.
We commend this faithful servant into the hands of the One he followed. May he rest in peace, and may the God of all comfort surround those who mourn until we rejoice together in everlasting life.
