Doris Cuevas Rivera's Obituary
Doris Cuevas Rivera, 78, of Spring Hill, FL passed away Jan. 2, 2016. Born on November 21, 1937 in Rincon, Puerto Rico to the late Edelmiro Cuevas and Julia Rivera she grew up in the area and later moved to New York City where she had all 6 of her children. She returned to Bayamon, Puerto Rico in the early 70’s and pursued her education obtaining a degree from the Biblical Institute of Bayamon and then her doctorate in Psychology in Jacksonville, Florida from Southeastern Theological Seminary in 2000. During her career as a Church of God pastor, Doris opened a church and managed two others. She also served as a missionary traveling to various underprivileged areas, spreading the word of God. More recently she was a member of Fuente De Amor Church of God in Hudson, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ismael Rodriguez; daughter Doris D’Angelo and husband Robert; 5 sons, Anibal Piñeiro and wife Teresa, Alan Piñeiro and wife Eileen, Chris Piñeiro and wife Mercedes, Steven Piñeiro and wife Danna and Frank Piñeiro and wife Dwanlei; 2 sisters, Eva and Diana Cuevas; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 1 PM at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
