Growing up I spent a good chunk of my early childhood with Gloria, Tony, Michael and Christie. My fondest memories of them…..Tony was always easy going, kind and agreeable. I remember him on his CB radio with a cup of 7-eleven coffee. Michael, along with his accomplice(my brother)Kevin, were always busy coming up with new and unique “games” to play with/torment me 😂. Including but not limited to…the board game “truth or dare”…. Fit Natalie in the trash can…”open your mouth and close your eyes”(I fell for that every time!) and my surprise would be something interesting like chloraseptic throat spray, perfume or a booger 🤮…just to name a few lol. Christie always had my back, partner in truth or dare and was my horror movie and Nick at Nite buddy ❤️. And Gloria in her terrycloth onesie get-ups, drinking Dr.Pepper and smoking one cigarette off another, rooting her Cowboys on, always made me laugh. My fondest memory of her is definitely the paper route that everyone in the house took part in. I rode shotgun with Gloria…and about 3am we would head out to deliver newspapers. For the next few hours her car would spit, sputter, jerk, shake and we’d laugh so hard….she called it “the Batmobile”. She would say it strikes again and cracks that kept me laughing for hours until I finally fell asleep and left the paper delivery to her 😁. I’d love to go back to those days again and relive those times again. Each one holds a special place in my heart for who they were and what they mean to me ❤️. Gloria has joined Tony and Christie along with so many that have gone before and are rejoicing together until the day we are all reunited 🙏🏽😇. They will live on always in our hearts and memories. my fondest and most treasured memory, of course, is when we were all in Hawaii together. You and Christy came to visit us my junior summer and us girls (mom, me, you and Christy) enjoyed our time by the ocean and visited many of the touristy places. including: Polynesian Cultural Gardens, Dole Factory and Plantation, Waimea Falls, King Kamehameha day and parade. We all enjoyed every minute you being with us and will never forget the memories. I do seem to recall, your sleep walking and dreaming, which wasn't a great combination, since we were on the 19th floor of Makaha Valley Towers in Waimea. There were several nights when we watched you to make sure you didn't go outside on the balcony and didn't go out the front door. It was something to experience. You guys were there with us during the 4th of July celebration and we went to a park for the FireWorks and also, listened to a live band and danced. I remember, there were pictures of all of us dancing...I am pretty sure during the visit Christy and I met some boys that played semi pro baseball and they invited us to their game in Honolulu, but we were too young and couldn't go!
I will always remember the dr pepper's and the can's to roll my hair on and try to straiten it out...you were the only one that understood!

I am the middle sister of the three. Gloria being the oldest I could share so many things. Gloria a dear special loving caring sister and friend. I lived on hope during these precious months with she and I talking and texting. A piece is missing within me and the only way I can make it through this awesome loss is one day at a time. I am Gloria’s youngest sister, Susan Teaster Wade.
As a teenager, I got to go and spend many summers from Mississippi to Virginia.
I always looked forward to being with Gloria, Tony, Michael and Christie.
Always had so much fun and always cried when it was time to leave.
I usually traveled by bus and once by airplane.
We hadn’t seen each other in about 7 years but enjoyed our weekly talks.
I love Gloria with all my heart and will miss her so much.

What do you say to loved ones that have lost the love of their life? Her life evolved exclusively around her Son, her Daughter-in-law and especially her Grandchildren.
She knew how to love and live each day as if it were her last. I wish we could have lived closer to one another over the years but nevertheless, she was an incredible human being. Her life was all about family as they always came first. I will always remember what a loving wife she was to my brother. I envied the love they had for one another. It was real and stood the test of time and trials. We will surely miss you Gloria.
