Dora Kate, the name I knew best as we were growing up. You were “Galpup” to your dad, his only daughter. I always thought that was sweet. The pretty blonde haired cousin next door to Deanna & I. I have many fond memories of our families growing up. You were closer in age to Deanna, then there was the tagalongs: Fred & I. We’re still the tagalongs, the only ones remaining of our generation in our two families, and once again with broken hearts since you have left the fold. I always enjoyed time spent with you, whether it was at a reunion or a phone conversation. We had that family bond with a knowledge from childhood of our past that only we shared. You always found good in everyone, a trait inherited from your sweet mother. Life as we know it, will not be the same without you in it. But as my sister said to me from her dying bed when I expressed grief & questioned my future without her: “God will take care of you.” And He does.
My thoughts & prayers are with Steve, Robin, Angie & their families as I know you are all heartbroken from your mom’s passing. As you adjust to life without her, may you find comfort in knowing your mom touched so many in a loving & caring way. We all loved her. ❤️🥰💔
