Facebook Tribute Synopsis-7/12/2024
Donna Jo Gregg graduated to heaven and the only ones sad are those who do not get to see sweet sassy face for a while.
Donna was my big sister and my hero, my role model, and spent and took so much time just for me as I was growing up. She made me feel valued and she was present with me.
She was bed buddy, my “girl talk” buddy, my raising baby birds and hurt animals buddy, my sister and most of all my friend. She taught me about everything, she and my sister Carol threw me a surprise birthday party when I was in grade school, but Donna slipped and told me about it first because she got too excited, (don’t be mad Carol!)
She let me read her diary, taught me how to use eyelash curlers and feminine products, how to check your oil in your car, fix your grill, and wash windows properly. She was the first of us to go to college and even drew pictures for me to color while she was trying to study for college classes in the pink girl's room.
She was a safe place and someone who got me. I felt like she saw me and was in my world with me. I followed her all over the US when she would move to new places. We talked multiple times a day and would always say good night to each other on messenger before bedtime every night. I will miss her so much, but I am also very happy for her because now she can run and dance and sing again like she did when she was young.
I will always be grateful to have had her play such a big part in my life. I can’t wait to see her again. I know she will be watching over we me just like she had always done. I Love you, my Don Don. Forever and ever, as high as the sky and as low as the ground and everything in between. Si Si
