Dieter A. Schwartz's Obituary
Dieter A Schwartz, 83 of Weeki Wachee, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 5, 2014.
Born in Konigsberg, Germany to Alfred and Katarina Schwartz on October 22, 1931, Dieter immigrated to the US in 1952.
As a young man, and on his own in a foreign country, he quickly established himself, setting roots in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
With his determination, work ethic and sense of responsibility, he helped facilitate the immigration of his mother and sister back in Germany, eventually bringing them into the US as well.
As a natural athlete, excelling in soccer and ice hockey, and with a "full of life attitude", he soon had many friends and teammates, with whom he established lifelong friendships.
In 1955, he enlisted in the US Army, and while stationed in Rochfort, France, met a beautiful young French girl, who he married in 1957, taking her back to the US.
Dieter was self employed, and was an owner-operator in the electronics-manufacturing field for many years before he and his wife embarked on a difficult personal challenge of building an incredible dream home in St John, the US Virgin Islands, were they lived before moving to Florida.
Survivors include his loving wife Michele, daughters, Monique and Simone, granddaughter, Ashley, sister Helga, and many friends all over the world who knew and loved him. A private family service was held by the family.
